Description
Gaja’s ROSSJ-BASS is named after Angelo Gaja’s youngest daughter, Rossana (Rossj). It is a blend of Chardonnay with a touch of Sauvignon Blanc.
On the nose, fresh and sweet aromas of white melon and white nectarine combined with elderflower and jasmine. The wine opens on the palate with citrus and fresh hints of menthol (reminiscent of peppermint). Fresh, vibrant, consistent. Long and persistent finish.
Gaja is one of the most prestigious Italian wineries. It was founded in 1859 by Giovanni Gaja, but became the star of contemporary winemaking with Angelo Gaja – Giovanni’s great-grandson, who first introduced innovative technological concepts and practices to the Langa. Today Angelo Gaja is still the owner of the winery, although much of the management work is entrusted to his two daughters. In addition to the Piedmontese companies, Gaja has also expanded into Tuscany in recent years, where it now owns several vineyards in the most suitable areas of Bolgheri and Montalcino
