Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Valle Reale is the product of certified organic grapes with spontaneous fermentation carried out by indigenous yeasts. All of this contributes to creating a wine that is truly unique and reflects its terroir. Concentrated and elegant, Valle Reale’s Trebbiano d’Abruzzo combines a fruity bouquet with delicate aromas of white flowers and flint (an aroma encouraged by the ancient pied-de-cuve technique). Valle Reale was founded in 2000 with the aim of producing world-class wines. Working mainly with the Montepulciano grape, the Pizzolo family is committed to producing wines that enhance the intrinsic qualities of the grape: strength, exuberance, vitality, colour, elegance, balance and depth. The process begins with the careful selection of the clones that best adapt to the soil and climate of the Valle Reale, and which therefore best express the distinctive characteristics of the vine. Located in the green heart of Abruzzo, the Valle Reale vineyards are located within one of the most beautiful national parks in Italy. This is a wild paradise, with deep gorges carved by glaciers, crystal clear springs and a diverse range of flora and fauna. Valle Reale is one of the few wineries in this area of pristine beauty. The topography and climate of this part of Abruzzo is completely different from the rest of the region and unique within central Italy. The vineyards have lean soils rich in limestone, with a light bottom of clay and sand. The proximity to the Gran Sasso mountain range, and the very altitude of the estate, create large temperature differences between day and night. The grapes grown in Valle Reale benefit from constant, fresh breezes which ensure good ventilation and reduce humidity to a minimum, ideal for the development of fine aromas. The perfect ripening temperatures are reached only in late autumn when the first snow whitens Monte Morrone. The geographical and climatic peculiarities of this area are reflected in the wines, which are characterized by the distinctive signs of well-ripened fruit: fresh, elegant bouquet and aromatic complexity.
