Description

Valle Reale Trebbiano d’Abruzzo is made from certified organic grapes and undergoes spontaneous fermentation driven by indigenous yeasts. All of this contributes to creating a truly unique wine that reflects its terroir.

Concentrated and elegant, Valle Reale’s Trebbiano d’Abruzzo combines a fruity bouquet with delicate aromas of white flowers and flint (an aroma enhanced by the traditional “pied-de-cuve” technique).

Valle Reale was founded in 2000 with the goal of producing world-class wines. Working primarily with the Montepulciano grape variety, the Pizzolo family is committed to producing wines that highlight the grape’s intrinsic qualities: strength, exuberance, vitality, color, elegance, balance, and depth. The process begins with the careful selection of the clones best suited to the soil and climate of the Valle Reale, which consequently best express the distinctive characteristics of the grape variety.

Located in the lush heart of Abruzzo, the Valle Reale vineyards are situated within one of Italy’s most beautiful national parks. This is a wild paradise, with deep gorges carved by glaciers, crystal-clear springs, and a wide variety of flora and fauna.

Valle Reale is one of the few wineries in this area of unspoiled beauty. The topography and climate of this part of Abruzzo are completely different from the rest of the region and unique within central Italy. The vineyards have poor, limestone-rich soils with a light subsoil of clay and sand.

The estate’s proximity to the Gran Sasso mountain range, combined with its high elevation, results in significant temperature fluctuations between day and night.

The grapes grown in Valle Reale benefit from cool, steady breezes that ensure good ventilation and minimize humidity, creating ideal conditions for the development of delicate aromas.

The ideal ripening temperatures are reached only in late fall, when the first snow blankets Monte Morrone.

The geographical and climatic characteristics of this region are reflected in the wines, which are distinguished by the hallmarks of fully ripe fruit: a fresh, elegant bouquet and aromatic complexity.
