Description
The Val delle Corti Chianti Classico 2024 is a must-try for anyone new to the wines of Radda in Chianti.
Chianti Classico is a classic interpretation of Sangiovese from one of the most respected estates in Radda in Chianti. The aroma is refined and distinct, with balanced notes of wild berries, forest floor, and wildflowers. On the palate, it is fresh and has excellent tannic structure.
In 1974, Giorgio Bianchi and his wife decided to escape the hectic pace of Milan and moved to the small village of Radda in Chianti to fulfill their dream of producing wine. It was Manetti of the famous Montevertine estate who recommended Val delle Corti to Giorgio Bianchi and invited him to become his neighbor. The estate had been abandoned for several years and required a great deal of work: the buildings were restored and the vineyards were completely renovated. Today, their son Roberto manages the small, seven-hectare estate (four hectares owned and three leased).
The vineyards are cultivated organically, and Val delle Corti has become a benchmark for authentic Chianti Classico —light and unpretentious. The terroir of Radda, with its stony, compact soil composed mainly of schist and limestone, is one of the most famous in the entire Chianti appellation. In Roberto’s wines, you can taste Radda in every single sip; his wines are delicate and floral, with a lovely fresh note that invites you to take another sip.
