This wine, 100% selected Sangiovese, is the result of a rigorous selection of grapes coming from the historic vineyards of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the heart of the south-east area of Montalcino, where the clay-limestone, sandy and galestrous soil gives the wine structure, minerality and an unparalleled aromatic complexity.

Vineyards and Cultivation:

Surface area: Approximately 10 hectares of vineyard land, with plantings dated 1975, 1988, 1998 and 2000.
Altitude: Vineyards located at 150, 250 and 350 meters above sea level, ensuring optimal maturation of the grapes.
Cultivation Method: Sustainable agronomic practices, with an approach that enhances each plant, maintaining planting density varying from 3000 to 5700 vines/hectare.

Harvest and Vinification:

Harvest: Manual harvest carried out by qualified personnel starting from September 25th, carefully selecting the grapes to express the best qualities of the denomination.
Cellar: The grapes are cooled with dry ice to preserve aromas and protect from oxidation, followed by spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. The evolution takes place in Slavonian and French oak for at least 24 months, with further refinement in the bottle for at least 6 months.

Aromatic Profile: Incredible intensity, combining notes of red fruit, chocolate, earth and undergrowth.
