Poderi Sanguineto I & II is Dora Forsoni’s 50-hectare family estate in Montepulciano in southern Tuscany. The “I & II” refers to the origin of the property as a feudal company divided into 8 sharecropping parcels: Sanguineto is located on parcels 1 and 2. Only 6 of those 50 hectares are planted with vineyards. Dora began working in the vineyard together with her father in 1968. He taught her to take care of their old vines of Prugnolo Gentile (the Montepulciano variant of Sangiovese), Mammolo, Canaiolo and Nero Toscano – always from organic farming – and to produce very traditional.
