Podere Monastero’s Campanaio 2025 is a delightful blend of equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The team at Podere Monastero has achieved perfect ripeness, with aromas of blackberry, cherry liqueur, mocha, and the spicy smoke of cedar. The wine is aged in new oak for 70% of its aging time. Only 5,000 bottles were produced.
Podere Monastero is Alessandro Cellai’s estate in Castellina in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico region. Cellai produces only two wines—a Pinot Noir and a Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot blend—both crafted in a rich, fruity style that reflects Cellai’s love for New World wines.
