The Brunello di Montalcino Cielo d’Ulisse 2019 from Podere le Ripi is a dynamic and exuberant Sangiovese. The grapes come from vineyards that are approximately 20 years old and after vinification they rest in large barrels for approximately 36 months. The result is a spirited wine with lively tannin and good acidity, as per tradition. We really like the care with which Francesco Illy follows every single project and the dedication with which he dedicates himself to his company.
