Description
In the heart of the Langhe, on the renowned Albesani hillside in Neive, the Busso family has cultivated Nebbiolo for generations with a style deeply rooted in the territory. Today Pierguido Busso continues the work started by his father Guido, focusing on historic vineyards planted on calcareous marl soils rich in minerals, capable of giving elegance and depth to the wines.
Vigna Borgese comes from one of the finest parcels within the Albesani cru, distinguished by excellent exposures and significant day-to-night temperature shifts that allow for slow and complete ripening of the grapes. The winemaking respects the authentic character of Nebbiolo, with traditional fermentations and long ageing in wood. The wine reveals complex aromas of dried rose petals, red berries, licorice and delicate spices, while the palate shows structure, refined tannins and a long mineral-driven finish.
