Description
The Fleur de l’Europe Cuvée Nature from the Maison Fleury is an emblematic Champagne full of liveliness and freshness.
The Fleury house is one of the forerunners of biodynamics in Champagne. He began converting to organic viticulture in the 1970s, long before it was in fashion. Today Fleury is certified Organic Agriculture (AB) and Demeter on its entire estate of 15 hectares.
The Fleur de l’Europe Nature cuvée is the result of the marriage of 85% Pinot Noir which provides structure and vinosity, with 15% Chardonnay which balances this union with a touch of freshness.
The grapes come from around 25-year-old vines in the Côte des Bar. Three quarters of the wine is vinified in enamelled vats to preserve a nice liveliness, and the rest in oak barrels. The barrel vinification gives rounder aromas and a touch of greediness.
The cuvée Fleur de l’Europe is a Brut Nature, a non-dosed champagne (without added sugar), allowing the terroir and all the vines to fully express themselves.
