Description
The Castello di Romitorio Filo di Seta Brunello di Montalcino 2019 is a red wine that reflects the essence of Tuscany. Produced in the north-western area of Montalcino, it is known for its strong and elegant character. The historic Sangiovese vineyards, located at an altitude of approximately 350 metres, are cared for with dedication, ensuring optimal ripening of the bunches.
Vinification and Aging:
The selection of the grapes takes place manually in the cellar before and after destemming. Fermentation takes place in concrete vats at a controlled temperature, with approximately 20 days of maceration on the skins. After malolactic fermentation, the wine rests, separating from the sediment. It matures in wood for approximately 30 months, completing the refinement at a controlled temperature in the cellars of Castello Romitorio.
Tasting Notes:
Filo di Seta offers a complex bouquet of dark peony and violet petals, with hints of fresh and dried cherry. On the palate, cherry and fragrant petals envelop fine yet intense tannins, creating a balance between structure and flowing elegance. With aging, earthy and savory notes emerge, maintaining a floral and silky enchantment that conquers the palate, mind and heart.
