Description
The Valtellina Superiore Sassella Riserva “Rocce Rosse” 2018 by AR.PE.PE. is a refined expression of Alpine Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca. The grapes come from the Sassella subzone, characterized by steeply terraced vineyards at an altitude between 400 and 500 meters, with a south/southeast exposure.
The winemaking process includes 69 days of maceration on the skins in 50-hectoliter wooden vats, followed by 39 months of aging in large oak casks and an additional three years of bottle refinement. The result is an elegant wine with fine, well-integrated tannins, offering a pleasant freshness and distinctive minerality, truly reflecting the unique terroir of Valtellina.
