Description
Il Bruciato della Tenuta Guado al Tasso by Antinori is a wine that confirms the uniqueness of the Bolgheri area. Spicy, with toasted notes and fruit finish and hints of cocoa. In the mouth it is full and velvety. A drinkable wine with a Mediterranean character.
The Guado al Tasso estate is located in the center of the small and prestigious Bolgheri DOC area, and can count on 300 hectares of vineyards.
Tenuta Guado al Tasso was once part of the possessions of the noble Della Gherardesca family, whose roots in this region date back over 1,200 years. In the 1930s the land was inherited by Carlotta della Gherardesca Antinori – mother of Piero Antinori – and by her sister, married to Mario Incisa della Rocchetta (who bought the nearby Tenuta San Guido).
The 300 hectares of vineyards in the Guado al Tasso estate are located at an altitude of 45-60m a.s.l. on various types of terrain.
The cultivated varieties are Vermentino, Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Franc.
