A wine born from a deep bond with the land of Chianti Classico and from a vision that the Antinori family has carried forward for over six centuries. The Gran Selezione 2021 from Fattoria San Sano is the fruit of a project that celebrates the purity of Sangiovese and the unique nuances of the terroir of Gaiole in Chianti, one of the most fascinating Additional Geographic Units of the denomination.

In this interpretation, Sangiovese expresses itself with elegance and precision, offering a fine and vibrant profile. The nose is deep, rich in small ripe red fruits, notes of violet, balsamic hints and nuances of sweet spices. On the palate the wine is taut, savory, with a lively freshness that accompanies a balanced and persistent structure. The tannins are chiseled, silky, and the finish is long, harmonious, with a clear territorial imprint.

2021 was an excellent vintage, which allowed us to capture the most authentic soul of Gaiole: that finesse that stands out, that vibration that remains. A bottle produced in limited quantities, not out of necessity but by choice, with the aim of offering a sincere testimony of the Antinori philosophy: respect for tradition, attention to detail, love for one’s land.
