Pian del Ciampolo 2024 by Montevertine is produced in Radda in Chianti, in the heart of the Chianti Classico, from vineyards located between 400 and 500 meters above sea level on soils rich in galestro and alberese, which give the wine its freshness, lift, and balance.

It is the estate’s most approachable and immediate wine, yet it fully retains Montevertine’s stylistic signature: an authentic expression of Sangiovese, blended with Canaiolo and Colorino, capable of conveying the territory with precision and naturalness. The grapes are hand-harvested and vinified in concrete vats, with traditional fermentations and skin macerations designed to preserve the purity and vibrancy of the fruit. Aging takes place primarily in concrete and large oak casks, maintaining the wine’s fresh.

The 2024 vintage marks a return to more balanced conditions compared to the previous year. A cooler and more regular growing season allowed for more precise vineyard management and a more even ripening of the grapes. The result is a particularly focused, elegant, and dynamic Pian del Ciampolo 2024, perfectly reflecting the estate’s idea of finesse.

This is a joyful and immediately appealing wine, defined by its drinkability while still offering depth and character.
