Isole e Olena is Paolo De Marchi’s jewel cellar in Barberino val d’Elsa.
The company’s name comes from combining the names of the two properties purchased in the middle of the last century by the De Marchi family (of Piedmontese origin) in Tuscany.
Paolo moved permanently to Isole e Olena in 1976. During those years, the company underwent a profound restructuring, focusing on quality and the idea of enabling the region to express itself to its fullest.
Paolo’s hard work and his Sangiovese have been rewarded with significant results. Despite its 50 hectares of vineyards, the winery remains family-run, and its achievements make it one of the Chianti Classico winemaking treasures.
