Description
Setriolo is a small estate in Castellina in Chianti managed by Susanna Soderi together with her mother.
This area of Chianti Classico due to the soils rich in marly limestone and sandstone are known for the elegance of the Sangiovese. We are at an altitude of 350 m above sea level with a south, south-east exposure that guarantee optimal ripening of the grapes. The extension of the vineyard is minimal: 3.5 hectares planted mainly with Sangiovese which every year produces about 14ooo bottles.
The choice to adopt the organic regime comes from the firm belief that to have good wines we must also respect the territory where I grow the grapes.
Chianti Classico di Setriolo has a typical nose with hints of red fruit and delicate spiciness. In the mouth it is velvety and harmonious.
