The Renzo Marinai Chianti Classico 2021 is a very well balanced expression of Sangiovese (with the addition of 10% Cabernet Sauvignon) showing a large component of ripe fruit balanced by structure and freshness. The fruity heart of the wine’s bouquet is pleasantly surrounded by notes of spices, leather and delicate tobacco. It’s a fantastic, informal and accessible wine.

Renzo Marinai is a small reality of around 6 hectares of vineyards located in one of the most renowned places of the Chianti Classico denomination: the Conca d’Oro of Panzano in Chianti. The vineyards are located in San Martino a Cecione just outside the village of Panzano at around 400 m above sea level. Alongside the Sangiovese there is always a small percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon which, especially in difficult vintages, provides a contribution of tannin and structure.

The style of the Chianti Classico produced by Renzo Marinai is well marked: substance and body, with an excellent concentration of ripe fruit, spices and leather. Muscular wines that require an accompaniment of the same tenor to maintain balance.
