The history of Produttori del Barbaresco has its roots in 1894, thanks to the foresight of Domizio Cavazza, principal of the Royal Oenological School of Alba, who recognized the intrinsic value of the Nebbiolo grapes cultivated in the Barbaresco area. He promoted the union of nine winegrowers with the aim of vinifying their grapes jointly, giving rise to one of the first and most significant experiences of oenological cooperativism in Italy.

Today, Produttori del Barbaresco represents a consolidated and esteemed cooperative reality, associating approximately fifty wine-growing estates, owners of some of the most highly regarded crus in the denomination. The company philosophy has always been oriented towards respect for tradition and the valorization of the terroir.
