Description
Rosso di Montalcino di Poggio di Sotto 2019 is produced from a vineyard located about 200, 300 and 450 meters above the sea level, with a different solar orientation. The production area is in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, in the valley of the Orcia river. The grapes are harvested by hand and placed in 15-20 kg containers. The yield is 3000-3500 kg per hectare. After ripening, they are immediately subjected to a rigorous selection process. The vinification takes place after spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels. The wine remains in 30 hl oak barrels for 24 months and another 6 months in the bottle before being sold. It is not filtered.
