Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2016 is an extraordinary wine and an archetype of the classic Sangiovese di Montalcino. This Riserva is extremely fine and nuanced. Aromas of cassis, cranberry, peony, tea leaf, orange and rust nail. The aromas become more and more expansive and expressive as the wine opens in the glass. It has a controlled potency and, above all, a relatively moderate alcohol content of 14 degrees, which makes the difference in terms of balance and elegance. 8,000 bottles were produced.

The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva from Poggio di Sotto is one of the most sought after and appreciated wines of the Ilcinese appellation. The production area is that of Castelnuovo dell’Abate, where the vines come from vineyards at 200, 300 and 450 meters above sea level. The soil is very poor and rocky, primarily composed of sedimentary rock. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in wooden vats. The wine then ages for 42 months in 30 hl Slovenian oak barrels.
