The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva of Podere le Ripi 2019 is a fantastic expression of the Chinese richness. From vineyards on clayey and calcareous soils after a very long maturation (48 months in oak barrels, 12 months in cement and at least 12 in the bottle) a wine with an extremely complex bouquet is born, characterized by an extraordinary balance in the mouth.
As always, even in this case Francesco Illy’s work amazes us: complexity, elegance and territoriality are the three cornerstones of a wine that we will not easily forget.
