Description

Podere L ‘Aja is located at about 500 meters above sea level in the hills of the Chianti Classico in the heart of the ancient Lega del Chianti.
The Podere is about 700 meters, a 10-minute walk from the center of Radda in Chianti; the ancient walls of the town are clearly visible from the farm and are less than 400 meters away as the crow flies.

Over the years, new plots have been added to the old vines, Chianti Classico is produced in 3 farms (Spanda, l’Aia and Chielle) that unfold around Radda in Chianti at an altitude of around 500 m.
The combination of different exposures that all rest on the same clay-limestone substrate provides a nice complexity of Sangiovese that most represent the blend.

The grapes are harvested by hand only when they have reached full ripeness; these are the result of a scrupulous agronomic management that leaves nothing to chance.

The selection of the grapes in the vineyard and the subsequent fermentation in the vats guarantees the full expressiveness of the wine which is then refined in oak barrels and / or tonneaux.
