Description
From the vineyard behind the house, Manuel Marinacci’s 2018 Barbaresco is a delight. Lively yet concentrated, with hints of mint, strawberry, and a touch of quinine, it’s a long, graceful, and delightful Nebbiolo. Manuel Marinacci is a winemaker who, in a desperate attempt to follow his dreams, set out to study oenology in Alba and ended up in class alongside figures like the legendary Giuseppe Mascarello. Since then, he has established a small estate in San Rocco Seno d’Elvio in the Barbaresco area, with the first vintage in 2004. Manuel has clearly borrowed something from Mascarello: these are traditional Nebbiolos, where fruit purity is paramount. And his wines are nothing short of delightful.
