Description
Lilliano’s Chianti Classico is characterized by their modern personality. Fruity and soft with sweet and toasted notes. The Lilliano estate is located in Castellina in Chianti, on the slope overlooking the Valdelsa. The Ruspoli family, current owner of this historic Castellinese village, has about 40 hectares of vineyards mostly planted with Sangiovese on clay-limestone soils.
Giulio Gambelli, master taster and great interpreter of Tuscan Sangiovese, assisted Eleonora Ruspoli Berlingieri in the fifties in making and bottling the first vintage of Chianti Classico Lilliano of 1958.
