Description
Champagne Abyss 2016 Brut Zero by Leclerc Briant is a champagne with a unique “marine” character.
The Abyss cuvée is a Champagne with a marine character that has benefited from a maturation matured in the depths of the sea. The tasting reveals a mineral and iodized signature that respects its terroir.
Citrus and with a salty touch, it shows a nice mineral sip. Detailed and fine. On the nose lemon peel, white grapefruit followed by a broad chalky texture and a lively astringency on the finish. The grapes for this wine come from soils with a high calcareous content, which gives the wine the aforementioned salinity.
Produced from the 2016 harvest (1/3 Pinot Nero, 1/3 Pinot Meunier and 1/3 Chardonnay), Abyss was bottled in July 2017, opened in July 2020, immersed 1 month later and then brought to light from the depths in August 2021 .
