Description
Le Miccine Chianti Classico Riserva appears in the glass with an intense ruby color with garnet reflections, a sign of its maturity and complexity.
Nose: The bouquet is inviting and complex, with notes of ripe red fruits such as cherries and plums, followed by elegant hints of sweet spices, vanilla and tobacco, which mix harmoniously with subtle nuances of aromatic herbs and wet earth.
Taste: In the mouth, the wine stands out for its elegant and well-balanced structure. The tannins are soft and silky, giving the wine a pleasant roundness. Intense flavors of red fruits emerge, with hints of blackberry and currant, enriched by nuances of dark chocolate and liquorice. The fresh sustained acidity gives liveliness to the sip, while the long finish leaves a pleasant persistence of ripe fruit and spices.
Le Miccine is a small family-run business from Gaiole in Chianti confidently run by the young Paola Papini Cook. The approach is “minimalist”. The cultivation of the 7 hectares of vineyard is organic without forcing and even in the cellar we try to do what is strictly necessary to accompany the grape juice to its transformation into wine without using products or practices that could distort the true nature of that wine.
Coming to the style of the wines, we can safely say that they are faithful interpreters of the territory in which they are born. Straightforward, slim and pleasant to drink. Unmistakable characteristics of this sub-area of Gaiole.
