Description

Carma 2021 represents the essence of the small La Pesa di Sotto winery, located in the suggestive and high hills of Radda in Chianti. This winery, guided with passion by the Carnasciali family, is the result of a harmonious union between the art of winemaking and the restoration of ancient Tuscan places.

The project was born with Caterina, a young aspiring oenologist, and Massimiliano, an expert builder with forty years of experience in the restoration of historic buildings. Together, they gave life to a vineyard set in the old terraces of Etruscan origin, brought back to life with patience and care. This unique terrain, enriched by ancient dry stone walls and supported by a soil rich in alberese and marl, offers an inimitable terroir for the cultivation of Sangiovese.

Carma 2021 is a wine that contains the soul of these lands. Obtained from a careful selection of Sangiovese and Canaiolo grapes from the La Sorgente vineyard, planted in 1970, and from the Altar Maggiore vineyard, located at 600 meters above sea level, this wine is the result of traditional winemaking but with attention to detail.

Matured in French Allier oak barrels, and aged for a further three months in the bottle, La Pesa di Sotto Carma 2021 offers a tasting experience that celebrates the history, passion and nature that distinguish CARMA. Ideal for accompanying traditional Tuscan dishes, this wine embodies the perfect fusion between past and present, offering a sip of Tuscany in every glass.
