Description
Istine Vigna Casanova dell’Aia Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2021 is a small Cru of around 4.5 hectares located just outside the village of Radda in Chianti at around 500 m above sea level.
Vigna Casanova dell’Aia Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is a wine obtained exclusively from the grapes of the vineyard of the same name, located in Radda in Chianti. Part of this vineyard was replanted in 1997 and further renewed after the 2013 harvest, maintaining its deep connection with the territory.
With a production limited to just 3,000 bottles, this Chianti Classico Gran Selezione stands out for its unique character, which fully expresses the characteristics of the Radda terroir. On the palate, it offers an elegant and airy profile, with refined notes of crushed flowers, sweet red berries, mint, chalk and a touch of white pepper. It is a wine with great personality, perfect for those looking for an authentic expression of Sangiovese.
For several decades the Fronti family has specialized in the development and management of vineyards for some of the most famous Tuscan wineries, appreciated everywhere for the quality of their work. At the same time the Fronti family also acquired some small vineyards in the Chianti Classico area, specifically in Radda and Gaiole in Chianti and in Lamole
Angela Fronti represents the new generation of the Fronti family and their desire to produce wine from the family vineyards. Project that materialized with the first bottlings in 2009.
From the beginning the idea was to create wines that highlight the different characteristics of their different vineyards:
the ISTINE vineyard (between Radda and Castellina), the CASANOVA vineyards (near Radda) and the CAVARCHIONE vineyard (near Gaiole).
The Istine winery, managed by the Fronti family, has been certified organic since 2016, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable and environmentally friendly agriculture.
