Description

The Barlettaio Chianti Classico Riserva is an enveloping, round and sweetly spiced wine. Il Barlettaio of Radda in Chianti is a small family-run company whose vineyards are located just outside the village. The face behind the Barlettaio is that of Francesco Bertozzi who has poured all his passion for Chianti Classico into this activity.

The vineyards are about 500 meters above sea level, and give life to fresh and particularly lively wines, and with fine aromas of great complexity. All this contributes to the natural longevity of these wines. The soils in the area are essentially Tuscan sandstone, alberese and marl, i.e. sandstone, clay and limestone which give the wines a very elegant tannic structure and a captivating gustatory sapidity which greatly lengthens their persistence in the mouth.

Il Barlettaio works organically. The wines are never banal, but full of character and faithful interpreters of the Radda area
