Description
Rinaldi’s Brunate walks the line between power and grace with quiet confidence. It comes from one of Barolo’s most revered crus—famous for good reason. From these slopes, a Barolo is born that combines depth with seduction, structure with soul. The 2021 vintage, classic and bright, delivers a Brunate of real precision and layered strength, carved from stone yet in constant motion.
The heart of the cru, without compromise
The fruit comes from Brunate, on the gentle slope between Barolo and La Morra, where calcareous marl meets ideal southeastern exposure. Here, Nebbiolo gains volume, but never loses tension. The Rinaldi family has long worked this plot without irrigation, herbicides, or shortcuts—just conviction and care.
Pure tradition, no background noise
Spontaneous fermentation in wooden vats, extended maceration, and around 36 months in large Slavonian oak casks: no unnecessary moves, just time and patience. Brunate is not tamed, it’s guided—and you can taste it.
A dark, sensual, and vertical Brunate
In the glass, it shows a deep, luminous garnet. The nose is rich and precise: ripe red fruit, dried rose, tar, star anise, and exotic spice, with an earthy note grounding its elegance. The palate is broad and warm yet taut, with dense, polished tannins, a salty core, and a long, spicy finish that resonates across the palate. A Barolo that stirs emotion now and promises greatness with time.
