Description
Giacomo Fenocchio’s Barolo Cannubi comes from the most historic and iconic cru of Barolo, located in the very heart of the appellation and renowned worldwide for its elegance and finesse. The Fenocchio family’s vineyards, averaging 50 years of age, are rooted in Tortonian soils composed of sandy and calcareous marls, which give Nebbiolo its silky texture and a bouquet of great aromatic complexity.
The Fenocchio estate, founded in the 19th century and today run by the fifth generation, remains faithful to traditional methods: spontaneous fermentations, long macerations of about 40 days, and aging for over 30 months in large Slavonian oak casks.
Barolo Cannubi stands out for its refined bouquet of dried flowers, red fruits, delicate spices, and hints of tobacco. On the palate, it is harmonious and deep, with polished tannins and a balanced freshness leading to a long, vibrant finish.
This is one of the most noble interpretations of Fenocchio’s range: a Barolo built for long aging, embodying the essence of the Cannubi cru and confirming the Langhe’s vocation for producing wines of the highest prestige.
