Description
The Chianti Classico Gran Selezione Antico Lamole Vigna Grospoli 2016 comes from a small parcel on terraces restored in 2003. Limited production, just over 1500 for a wine whose strong points are the broad floral bouquet and lively text . Sangiovese which ages for 18 months in tonneaux. The Socci family is deeply linked to Lamole, a small village perched on the hills a few kilometers from Greve in Chinati. Starting in 2003 Paolo Socci took over the fortunes of the company and launched a project to recover the historic vineyards and settlements of the Fattoria di Lamole. Hence the restoration of the terraces with the ancient dry stone walls and the subsequent planting of new vineyards.
All in function of the best possible agricultural practice without distorting the typical elements of the Lamola landscape. Paolo’s wines are highland wines: clear, transparent and irresistible. Subtle scents of wild flowers and a palate far from any technicality, but a faithful interpreter of the man who first of all dreamed of these wines and of the territory, that of Lamole, which has left its unmistakable mark on them.
