Description
Enrico Santini Campo alla Casa Bolgheri Bianco is a wine that welcomes you to the nose with a freshness and elegance typical of Sauvignon Blanc. When you taste it, the notes of citrus and fresh fruit are combined with a tasty and structured taste, with a touch of Moscato thanks to the short maceration on the skins of Vermentino. It’s like a fresh and fruity dance that takes you towards a clean and tasty finish, it’s quite a stimulation for the senses!
Enrico Santini calls himself “Garagista a Bolgheri”, and this definition perfectly represents the local entrepreneur of the Bolgheri Maremma, who with limited resources and great determination has achieved success in the world of wine! When it comes to Enrico Santini, it is not necessary to resort to sophisticated storytelling techniques: his story speaks for itself. After fifteen years in the large-scale distribution sector, Enrico decides to devote himself to the vineyard, first working for a friend and later starting his own company.
In 1998 he transformed his home garage into a cellar, where he confers the grapes from the first vineyards planted in the same years. The first vintage is from 1999, and it already clearly demonstrates Bolgheri’s emerging talent. In an area dominated by large wineries, Enrico is undoubtedly an exception, a real harmony with the surrounding area. His vineyard is cultivated following the principles of organic farming and hosts grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Sangiovese and Petit Verdot, with the addition of Vermentino and Sauvignon for the white wines.
