Description
IThe Domaine Faiveley Bourgogne Côtes de Nuits Les Dames Huguettes reveals a delicious bouquet of ripe cherries, grilled meat and wood smoke, framed by a light touch of reduction that quickly dissolves in the glass. On the palate it is medium-bodied, however rich and fleshy, with fresh juiciness and youthful and soft structuring tannins. For over 180 years the love of wine has been passed down from one generation of Faiveleys to the next. Domaine Faiveley has remained in the hands of the same family and always independent. Today Erwan Faiveley is one of the youngest directors of a Domaine in Burgundy ever recorded. Erwan wishes to respect the traditions and savoir-faire of the Faiveley family, paying close attention to the professionals around him, as his vision for the future begins to take shape. Domaine Faiveley is one of the largest vineyard owners in Burgundy. Almost self-sufficient, Faiveley produces 80% of its wines with grapes grown in the family vineyards and almost all of its wines come from the Côte d’Or. The family’s policy has always been to purchase land in the most suitable areas. Over seven generations, Domaine Faiveley has accumulated vineyards in the most prestigious Crus: Corton, Corton-Charlemagne, Mazis-Chambertin, Chambertin Clos de Bèze, Latricières-Chambertin, Musigny, Echézeaux and Clos Vougeot – the jewels of Burgundy – producing wines rare and precious.
