Description
The De Corurcel Pommard les vaumuriens presents itself in the glass with a fresh and fruity style, with notes of berries, leather, undergrowth, spices, and a live smoky touch… In the mouth, elegant and delicious, with fine tannins but still well defined.
The Vaumuriens (1.44 hectares) are vineyards located in the Village appellation, positioned right above the Rugiens. This plot has shallow white soil (0.3-0.4 meters) and is oriented to the northeast. The vines, which are around forty years old, produce spicy wines with aromas of blackcurrant and white fruit, sometimes even mango
Domaine de Courcel produces wines from seven different lots (climates), all based in Pommard. Four of these wines, which represent almost 75% of the estate’s surface area, enjoy the “Premier Cru” denomination. The vineyard is made up of the widest variety of Pommard wines. The vineyards are located on the hill slopes, south of the village between Pommard and Volnay, and north between Pommard and Beaune.
