The Extra Virgin Olive Oil Dop Chainti Classico di Dievole comes from olive groves located in Castelnuovo Berardenga, Castellina in Chianti and Gaiole in Chianti. The cultivar varieties used are: Frantoio, Leccino and Moraiolo. The reception is manual and mechanical. Dievole’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil Dop Chainti Classico has a harmonious taste, with medium and persistent pungency and medium bitterness.

Dievole is a corner of Tuscany between Siena and Florence, in the center of the Chianti Classico area which has always been considered a small paradise.

Here the dialogue between nature and man has never been interrupted and the name can explain the reason: “Dievole” means “God wills”.

The name of Dievole officially appears for the first time in the 11th century, precisely on 10 May 1090. During that time, Icelander Leif Erikson discovers North America, the Chinese discover gunpowder, the world’s first university is founded in Bologna, Rome is overrun by the Normans, and Pope Urban II conquers Jerusalem. On that day, as stated in the contract drawn up by the notary Bellundo, two capons, three breed loaves and six Lucchese denarii of good silver were paid for the annual contract for a vineyard in a divine valley, which was Dievole.

In 2012 Dievole began a harmonious and gradual renewal with the aim of enhancing the deepest identity of this area.
