Description
Castelvecchi Lodolaio Chianti Classico Riserva comes from pure Sangiovese grapes obtained from the reproduction through mass selection of vines of very ancient origin, in a soil composed mainly of marl and alberese. The nose reveals wild berries, rose hips, toasted nuts and earthy tones. It’s a body reserve, with a direct style and clear contours. The wine shows a hint of sweetness on the finish, supported by a fresh acidity.
The Castelvecchi winery stands right in front of the village of Volpaia, a medieval village that has remained intact for centuries.
