Description
Castelvecchi Capotondo Chianti Classico shows warm tones of candied crème cassis, dried cherry and black licorice. The wine is bright, fresh and savory on the finish and its overall philosophy is inspired by the traditional Chianti Classico made with Sangiovese (80%) and Canaiolo.
The Castelvecchi winery stands right in front of the village of Volpaia, a medieval village that has remained intact for centuries.
The Castelvecchi and Collepetroso vineyards are located 530 meters above sea level with soils made up of marl and sandstone. Freshness and purity are the characteristics that distinguish the wines of this award-winning winery in Radda in Chianti.
