Description
Castello di Argiano’s Brunello di Montalcino Sesti is a wine of undeniable charm. Complex aromatic set, important presence in the mouth and long evolutionary potential place it among the top wines of the Ilcinese village. Sangiovese comes from vineyards with a plant density of 5,400 vines per hectare. After the harvest, the grapes are vinified in steel. The wine then rests for thirty-nine months in oak barrels of 30 hectoliters. No filtration. One year of in the bottle before release on the market
The Sesti del Castello di Argiano estate is located on the southern side of the Montalcino quadrant. The extension of the estate is just over 100 hectares but only thirteen are dedicated to vineyards, the rest is woodland, olive groves and pastures. The vineyards are south facing at 350 m above sea level trained with spurred cordon
The vines are grown sustainably, the equivalent of the lutte raisonnée in France.
