Description
Chianti Classico Caparsa is a free-range and faithful interpreter of the Radda in Chianti terroir
The history of Caparsa is made of passion, commitment to quality and respect for the land. Started by Paolo Cianferoni in 1982, the company is certified organic and hosts some very ancient Sangiovese plants. Based in Radda in Chianti, in the heart of Tuscany, Paolo produces around 20,000 bottles (less than 2,000 cases) of wine per year.
Paolo’s agricultural and winemaking practices are natural. It does not use chemicals in its vineyards, all the grapes are harvested and selected by hand, the fermentations are carried out with indigenous yeasts and the wines are bottled without filters and with minimal additions of sulphites. This commitment to cultivating cleanly and letting nature produce its wines has obviously paid off and now the wines of Caparsa are among the most sought after in Radda in Chianti.
