Description
IThe Cantine Dei Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is vibrant and lively with an exuberant fruit profile. It offers good depth with nuances of dark fruit, dried plum, and blackcurrant. The wine’s aromatic intensity is its strength. The Cantine Dei estate extends over approximately 120 hectares, 55 of which are vineyards. The average altitude is around 300 meters above sea level, and the vineyards are divided into four production units: Martiena, Bossona, La Ciarliana, and La Piaggia, all privileged for their exposure and the composition of the soil where the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano is produced. The vineyards exhibit various pedological characteristics: the Martiena and La Piaggia areas consist mainly of a mixture of fresh and medium sandstone; the Bossona vineyards, which produce the cru, are characterized by a superficial layer of tuff and gravel with a fossil subsoil; finally, the La Ciarliana vineyards are rich in clay and limestone. Green pruning and selective thinning of clusters keep the average yield per hectare extremely low. In the best vintages, when the climate and nature reward human labor, the precious bottles of Nobile from the Bossona vineyards are destined to be aged and matured to produce a limited quantity of Vino Nobile Riserva Bossona.
