Description
Calcamura Chianti Classico is elegant and well-structured, with soft tannins and a lively acidity that provides freshness. The flavors of red fruit harmoniously combine with light tertiary notes of vanilla and tobacco.
The Calcamura Winery is located in San Casciano in Val di Pesa. The San Casciano area, situated in the northwestern corner of the Chianti Classico denomination, is characterized by a unique microclimate that favors early grape ripening due to the combination of local soils and climate. Here, the vineyards benefit from soils mainly consisting of river and gravel deposits, with some areas featuring lake and alluvial deposits, sandstone in the northeast, and calcareous clay in the southeast.
Among the wines produced in the San Casciano area, Chianti Classico “Calcamura” is one of the most appreciated. This wine fully expresses the characteristics of the local terroir, offering a complex and well-balanced aromatic profile with notes of red fruit, spices, and a pleasant acidity that makes it ideal for pairing with a wide range of Tuscan cuisine dishes and beyond.
