Description
Buondonno Lemme Lemme, comes from an old vineyard with married vines planted in 1936 with many varieties; sangiovese, canaiolo, colorino, malvasia, trebbiano and many others forgotten or unknown. About 1000 bottles of a characterful, compact, tannic wine rich in ancient wisdom are produced from this vineyard. A true blend of freshness that envelops black fruit and olive tapenade. It matures in a ceramic tank, porous like oak but capable of preserving the fruit without covering it with spices. Only grapes and nothing but grapes. Slowly, slowly, lemme, lemme.
Gabriele Buondonno’s farm is in Castellina in Chianti, in the locality of La Piazza. Gabriele Buondonno can be considered one of the best interpreters of Chianti Classico. His wines go beyond the explosion of fruit for its own sake and extreme softness. The wines have a solid structure and pleasant freshness, never pimps.
The company is small, 8 hectares of vineyards, mostly Sangiovese, gathered around the Casavecchia farm at about 400 meters above sea level. The soils are a classic mix in Chianti: galestro, alberese and pietraforte. Perfect for ensuring proper drainage and the necessary nourishment for plants.
