Description

Bollinger Champagne La Grande Année 2015 is the embodiment of Bollinger know-how, an exceptional champagne with a thick, satin texture and aromas of ripe fruit and dried fruit. Each vintage is an event and ranks among the best champagnes.

The 2012 vintage is a generous, full-bodied vintage, supported by great vivacity. For the development of La Grande Année 2012, Bollinger combined 65% Pinot Noir and 35% Chardonnay. The grapes come from about twenty villages in Champagne, mainly Aÿ and Verzenay for Pinot Noir and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Oiry for Chardonnay.

Faithful to the exclusive Bollinger winemaking method, La Grande Année 2015 is vinified and then aged entirely in oak barrels.

The aging of the wines takes place with a cork stopper for almost 7 years. Now rare in champagne, each bottle is shaken and disgorged by hand.

La Grande Année 2014 is a Brut champagne, dosed at 8g per liter.

It is a cuvée with a delicately shaded color with golden reflections. A color that testifies to the maturity of the wine, but also to the Bollinger winemaking methods.

On the nose, La Grande Année 2014 reveals notes of apricot, almond and hazelnut, but also honey and cereals.

On the palate it is a dense, intense, powerful and persistent champagne. The texture is creamy, silky. In the middle of the palate the freshness is more present, before arriving on an elegant finish, on beautiful bitters.

La Grande Année 2014 Bollinger is a true champagne for gastronomy, it goes wonderfully with scallops, spicy oysters or noble poultry.
