Description
The Badia a Coltibuono Cultus Boni Chianti Classico Riserva 2018 is an organic wine from one of the most important estates in Gaiole in Chianti. The wine is fruity on the nose with wild cherry, blackberry and exotic spices in evidence. Hints of lavender, sage and mint follow, leaving a pleasant and satisfying finish. Cultus Boni is one of the wines most linked to the terroir of this sub-area (and the price is excellent).
Located in Gaiole in Chianti, the history of Badia a Coltibuono dates back to 1051 and the order of Vallombrosan monks. The current owners are the Emanuela, Roberto, Paolo and Guido Stucchi Prinetti brothers.
There are 74 hectares of vineyards mostly in the Monti sub-area, also in the municipality of Gaiole in Chianti.
One of the prides of Badia a Coltibuono is the heritage of ancient Sangiovese settlers, used to replant key sites at higher densities of 7-8,000 Sangiovese plants per hectare.
In 1996 the new cellar in Monti saw the light, and with the 2003 harvest came the organic certification
