Description
The Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2018 is a wine capable of giving deep emotions to the Sangiovese enthusiast. Only the best grapes, the result of careful selection, are destined for Brunello di Momtalcino. Maturation for the first year in French barriques and tonneaux of various sizes to strengthen the innate structure of the wine, and for the second year in larger Slavonian oak barrels which allow the wine to balance. Once the refinement in wood is completed, the wine is transferred to concrete tanks.
For more than five centuries, Argiano has cultivated grapes and produced wines that capture the essence of the Sangiovese grape and the Montalcino terroir
The historic Argiano di Montalcino estate dates back to the 16th century, when it was owned by the noble Sienese Pecci family. Construction began in 1581 and the picturesque villa was completed in 1596. Over the centuries, ownership of the estate has changed hands many times: noble families and popes have gradually taken turns at the helm of Argiano.
The use of traditional practices and Argiano’s attention to detail both in the vineyard and in the cellar allows us to bring out the best expression of Sangiovese. Today, Argiano wines are recognized by the most important critics.
