Description
The Valtellina Superiore Inferno “Fiamme Antiche” by AR.PE.PE. is a wine that captures the essence of Alpine Nebbiolo, locally known as Chiavennasca. The grapes come from the Inferno subzone, characterized by steep, south-facing terraces at an altitude of approximately 450 meters. The name “Inferno” derives from the high temperatures recorded in these vineyards during the summer season.
The winemaking process includes 54 days of maceration on the skins in 50-hectoliter wooden vats, followed by 24 months of aging in a combination of large oak casks and stainless steel tanks.
The result is an elegant wine with fine, well-integrated tannins, offering a pleasant freshness and distinctive minerality, truly reflecting the unique terroir of Valtellina.
