Description
The Chianti Classico Podere Terra is produced with Sangiovese and Colorino grapes, vinified according to tradition and aged in steel and concrete tanks for 12 months. Fruity and elegant, the Chianti Classic Podere Terra is a full-bodied wine with soft and persistent tannins, underlined by an acidity that gives length and great drinkability.
Podere Terra has certainly been inhabited since the 14th century. Today it is a farm with an agritourism active for more than thirty years, with a cellar and vineyards located along the Via della Volpaia, between Montevertine and Castello di Volpaia.
The vineyards aged between 12 and 30 years have a total area of about 6 hectares and are located on clayey soils rich in marl and alberese rocks at 540 meters above sea level with an average density of 5000 vines per hectare with forms of breeding ranging from the spurred cordon in the younger vines to the bow in the older vines.
