Description

Vallepicciola’s Chianti Classico is a pure expression of Sangiovese from Castelnuovo Berardenga. The 2017 Chianti Classico displays a concentration of dark fruit with aromas of cherry, blueberry, and moist earth. A full-bodied wine, the fruit of a warm vintage, capable of striking an incredible balance between freshness and fullness.

Vallepicciola extends over approximately 265 hectares, 105 of which are vineyards, located on the eastern slopes of Castelnuovo Berardenga (Siena), in the Chianti Classico region.

The 105 hectares of vineyards are planted with Sangiovese, primarily intended for the production of Chianti Classico, as well as international varieties such as Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Chardonnay.

Meticulous vineyard work and very low, concentrated yields result in high-quality grapes, bursting with flavor, texture, and freshness.

The new, modern winery enhances the varietal characteristics of the grapes, creating a range of wines that combine strong personality with significant elegance.

Vallepicciola’s goal is to produce wines that are a natural expression of the Berardenga terroir, the various grape varieties, and the different vintages.
